Dule Hill and Madeline Kahn on Cosby
Because I love Psych. And I can't wait for their Clue tribute episode. And I'm sorry that Madeline Kahn isn't part of it.

This was not "deleted" for content. In the longer cut, it is included, as is Sheriff Bart using 2 more schemes to finally take down Mongo after the "candygram" bit. The only line that Mel Brooks actually had to cut outright from the script was where, in the darkness, after Lili rhapsodizes that "it's twue, it's twue!" (the filmed ending of the scene), Bart then deadpans back that "I hate to disillusion you, ma'am, but you're sucking on my arm."

Madeline's is one of the few actresses or actors that I can say that when they appear on the screen I'll start to laugh. It really doesn't matter what the story is, I know she's going to crack me up.

Madeline Khan, a tremendous comedic talent that was natural, no fakeness whatsoever. As I stated in the Mel Brooks Young Frankenstein docu-video, Madeline Khan had an air of natural comedic talent funniness about her, her accent, her delivery, her persona, her personality permeates throughout every scene she did. Madeline Khan made the Mel Brooks Gene Wilder movie "Young Frankenstein" a thousand times funnier than it would have been without her, which with Marty Feldman in the entry to the castle scene was classic. As with Gene Wilder, told by Mel Brooks, Gene Wilder was not yet in comedy, but asked Mel Brooks who was in the theater back stage to pick up his then girl friend Anne Bancroft, why the audience was laughing at him while trying to play a serious part role on stage, and Mel Brooks said to Gene : because your funny. Gene said : I wasn't trying to be funny.. Mel said : That's the best kind of funny, it's natural. That's the same with Madeline Khan, she is (was) just so naturally funny and talented, it permeated throughout everything she said and did in her own unique voice, tone, manner, and method that screamed out Madeline Khan. A one of a kind talent. God Bless you Madeline Kahn, RIP, for the world is a lot less funny without you :(

Great scene, but a lot of good scenes are cut out of great movies. If it doesn't serve the plot or move the story forward, it's usually better to not have it. It's the 70s. We're not at the point where the pacing of movies is out of control and there's no time to breathe before the next action scene (in a melodrama), so it's best to keep the movie tight and get your points across effectively.

I am a fan of Madeline Kahn, a brilliant talent who could do anything. And I like Red Buttons who said "During Gandhi's 40 day fast for world peace, his mother said to him eat a cookie who'll know." ~~ The COSBY SHOW was the most popular show on tv at this time -- and it was a darling of the media -- and Bill was held in such high regard - and when you watch the show today it does not hold up in any way -- it is a real corny sitcom that is dated - whereas SEINFELD is as good if not better in 2023 --

Some people have this comedy "twinkle". There is something in their demeanor that makes you laugh just by earing / seeing some innuendo or facial body expressions. Madeline Khan had that. Fabulous comediant.

Madeline had a scene on Cosby where she kept falling down in the doctor’s office. I saw it once probably 25 years ago, and it’s about the funniest bit I’ve ever seen on television.

Women can be very attractive even as they age, but I had flashbacks when she said, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free," because a girl I dated in college said that to me. I would have married her had she not disrespected our relationship constantly and threw herself at other guys after a drink or two, and I would have married my last girlfriend if she wanted more sex, was willing to go to a gynecologist to get an occasional odor checked out and wanted to get the f*** out Memphis ASAP.

One of the many things I admire about her is that she often went to interviews or whatever with very little or no makeup - she went as herself, and spoke what she thought. Stage makeup was for stage performances. She didn't, to my knowledge, speak much about women's rights in public, but she lived as she wanted to live, as a smart, aware, talented woman who did not take kindly to some men's expectations that she should hide her mind and be subservient to them.
